neighbour table state (NUD_NONE)

Hi,

Can anybody point me to any docs on neighbour tables, specifically the 
*state* of the entry. e.g NUD_NONE, NUD_NOARP etc?

I have googled extensively and the nearest document is the rtnetlink 
manpage. So i am guessing there isnt too much existing documentation.

Any explanation would be very welcome.
