hii, We faced a similar problem when working on a Solaris system. we were using a multithreaded application and the code used the 'errno' set by system calls to make some decision. Initially the code misbehaved because errno was mapped to a global variable instead of thread specific errno. then we enabled a flag -D_REENTRANT while compiling. The code worked. for code using posix threads _POSIX_C_SOURCE >= 199506L should suffice. in linux -D_LIBC_REENTRANT should be used ...
