Real-Mode of Intel processors!!

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all,

I just have a small query. I am actually not sure whether this is the correct
place to ask or not.

My query is : What is the actual use of Real-Mode of the Intel processors with
regard to current operating systems?

I read that it is only used for bootstrapping.

Can someone throw some light on this??

TIA

Regards
Ketan
