Well, that's a surprise ... ;) (not the ftp problem, but rather that
you part of the kernelnewbies team ...)

I must admit to having looked over this problem and can't see any
reasonable explanation for this. Within Linux I can use both
netscape and ncftp to connect to the ftp server and download the
stuff. Have you tried pointing a browser to get to the ftp site?
Have you tried from a Linux machine?

I haven't gotten any other complaints about the ftp server from
any other user before, so this is why I'm trying to find out what
exactly is the problem.
