From the most recent Kernel Traffic:

Ingo Molnar [*] said:
most of the useful traffic on lkml cannot be expressed
well on IRC...Also, the lack of reliable archiving of
IRC traffic prevents newcomers of reproducing the
thought process afterwards.

By a strange coincidence I was brooding over sending
you a proposal to create a page linked from the IRC
archive page on kernelnewbies, with a form and glimpse
engine similar to what is found in the lxr.linux.no
text search form.

If you would let me download the #kernelnewbies
archives (I would guess around 380M, right?) I can
play around with the above and present you with a
finished form to use or not as you like.

it pleases?
