webcam help

Hello,

I have a Creative Webcam (parallel port) and I want to adapt the 'cpia'
drivers for a more special system.
But before that, I would like to install the camera on my AMD PC, under
a RedHat 7.1 Linux, kernel 2.4.5

I tried to insert the modules parport, parport_pc, cpia and cpia_pp and
they don't return an error message, but they don't detect a camera
either. lsmod reports thet cpia_pp is "(unused)".
xawtv finds no /dev/video available and issues error messages. By
default, /dev/video was a directory with 3 files within. I removed it
and replaced it with a link to /dev/video0, but the error messages were
the same.

Please write me back if you know what I should do.

Nicky
