I'd suggest to re-state and augment this as follows:

        - shall not _require_ presence of any swap space;

        - shall allow the association between virtual pages and swap
          slots to be dynamic, i.e. to be able to change over time;

P.S. Maybe it would be a bad idea to create some kind of glossary,
maybe in the Kernel Hacking HOWTO, explaining terms like page frame,
memory object, slab, etc.
