hi,
i was looking through the ide driver in Linux
2.2.16 and found that the code does not use the base address field of the
configuration address space to look for an IO port or memory mapped location.
Does this mean that the IO ports of an IDE
controller are fixed at (base : 0x1f0-0x170) according to the AT task file. The
driver has these values hardcoded as defaults.
