kernel module

Hi,

I wrote a kernel module that intercepts open system, it works fine on
the console, but when I do an insmod on X, and type anything like "ls",
it gives me a segmentation fault. Then I cannot even rmmod the module and I
have to reboot.

Do you know what causes this?

Thanks in advance,
Femitha Majeed.
