Hai guy, I got ur mail, Thanks for replying for the mail i posted to u. But I feel I failed to exactly stat the problem i have faced while distributing the kernel binary image. the things are 1. If suppose the pc in which i am compiling has its hard disk connected to ide0 and if the destination machine has its hasrd disk in ide1 the i am getting kernel panic 2. Secondly the image works on the destination machine only if the target pc matches all the peripherals what ever present in the pc where i am compiling the kernel. Thanks for suggesting to compile the kernel source on the lower architecture in order run the image on the achitecture.
