Hi there! I've been examining some Netfilter snapshots, for example the nftables one (pick whichever revision) [0]. They seem to include some autogenerated files, like 'configure', the 'autom4te.cache' dir, etc.. Why snapshots are not just a copy of the git sources? Best regards.
