No, that's a bug too. I have just committed the fixes in svn:

- macipmap type reported misleading deprecated separator
  tokens and printed the old one at listing set elements
- Warn only once about deprecated separator tokens in
  restore mode.
- Fix misprinted separator character (bug above)

Additionally, zero-valued elements are rejected by hash types, just as the 
manpage says :-).

It'll be released as 2.4.1 tomorrow (actually, today...).
