Fritz,
    Change the IPADDR to be 192.168.10.? and the NETMASK to be
255.255.255.0.

Sorry for being ignorant... but how do I limit the subnet of eth1 to
192.168.10.*/24?

here is my current ifcfg-eth1:

BROADCAST=192.168.255.255
IPADDR=192.168.8.232
NETWORK=192.168.0.0
