I'll give you my experience. I tried patching both 2.4.5 and 2.4.9, and was able to put in only a few iptables features, and none that I wanted. At the end of the day, I finally through in the towel, downloaded the vanilla 2.4.19 kernel, and managed to get all the patches I wanted to work. I would still like to hear if anybody out there has successfully patched some of the later kernels. -- Aaron Clausen
