| September 15, 2015 MEDIA ADVISORY M15-138 NASA to Hold Teleconference to Discuss Orion Spacecraft Progress NASA officials will hold a media teleconference at 1 p.m. EDT Wednesday, Sept. 16 to discuss the agency’s progress on the Orion spacecraft, which will carry humans on missions into deep space. Participants in the teleconference will be Robert Lightfoot, NASA associate administrator, and William Gerstenmaier, the agency’s associate administrator for Human Exploration and Operations. The spacecraft is designed to provide an emergency abort capability, sustain the astronauts and provide safe re-entry from deep space velocities.
