NASA Administrator Charles Bolden will visit the agency’s Glenn Research Center (GRC) in Cleveland Friday, Jan. 17, to view the Center's latest developments in advanced space propulsion technologies. Members of the local Ohio congressional delegation will be invited to join him for the tour.
Beginning at 1:25 p.m. EST, Bolden, GRC Director Jim Free, and attending members of Congress will visit the Electric Propulsion Laboratory to assess progress on solar electric propulsion technologies for NASA’s proposed asteroid initiative. The agency's asteroid initiative represents an unprecedented technological feat that will lead to new scientific discoveries and technological capabilities that will help protect our home planet and achieve the goal of sending humans to an asteroid by 2025.
