NASA TV to Air Briefing Today on Early End to Spacewalk

WASHINGTON -- NASA Television will air a news conference today at 4:30 p.m. EDT to discuss this morning's spacewalk outside the International Space Station. The news conference will take place at the agency's Johnson Space Center in Houston.

NASA astronaut Chris Cassidy and European Space Agency astronaut Luca Parmitano were more than an hour into the spacewalk when Parmitano reported a buildup of water inside his helmet. Flight Director David Korth ended the spacewalk early at the 1-hour, 32-minute mark into the planned 6 1/2 hour excursion.

Participating in the post-spacewalk news conference will be:

-- Kenny Todd, Mission Management Team chairman
-- David Korth, NASA flight director
-- Karina Eversley, lead spacewalk officer
