CONTRACT RELEASE: C09-039

NASA AWARDS CONTRACT FOR PRESSURE SYSTEMS CERTIFICATION

CLEVELAND -- NASA's Glenn Research Center has awarded a 
cost-plus-fixed-fee contract valued at $30 million to Mainthia 
Technologies, Inc. (MTI) of Cleveland. 

MTI will provide on-site services for the certification of pressure 
vessels and systems, and the operation, maintenance and engineering 
of cryogenic systems. MTI also will provide recertification, repairs 
and periodic in-service inspections and maintain the accuracy of the 
certification activities database. 

The systems and equipment to be certified and maintained under this 
contract are housed in various buildings and locations throughout 
Glenn and the Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio. 

The contract begins on Oct. 1, 2009, with a two-year base period 
followed by three one-year options.
