NASA ANNOUNCES FY 09 BUDGET BRIEFINGS FOR PRESS

WASHINGTON - NASA Deputy Administrator Shana Dale will brief the news 
media about the agency's Fiscal Year 2009 budget at 2:30 p.m. EST, 
Monday, Feb. 4. The press conference will take place in NASA 
Headquarters' James E. Webb Memorial Auditorium located at 300 E St., 
S.W., in Washington.

Dale will be joined by senior managers from the agency's Space 
Operations, Science, Aeronautics and Exploration mission 
directorates. The news conference will be broadcast live on NASA 
Television and the agency's Internet homepage with questions from 
reporters at Headquarters.

After Dale briefs reporters about NASA's Fiscal Year 2009 budget, the 
associate administrators of the agency's mission directorates will 
hold teleconferences to discuss the budget's impact on their specific 
areas.

The teleconference schedule is:

Monday, Feb. 4
4 p.m. Space Operations (Phone: 888-829-8668, pass code: FLIGHT)
5 p.m. Science (Phone: 800-369-6087, pass code: SCIENCE)
6 p.m. Exploration (Phone: 800-779-8718, pass code: EXPLORE)

Tuesday, Feb. 5
11 a.m. Aeronautics (Phone: 888-972-9929, pass code: AERONAUTICS)

Each teleconference is scheduled to last 50 minutes. Reporters may 
join the teleconference of their choice by dialing the telephone 
number and using the pass code listed above and the call leader's 
name: Dave Steitz. The number of available telephone lines is 
limited.
