LOUIS, Miss. - On Friday, NASA announced the selection of Pratt and Whitney Rocketdyne, Inc., of Canoga Park, Calif., to provide hardware assurance testing at NASA's Stennis Space Center. The estimated total value of the contract is $80 million. The cost-plus-award-fee contract is for a one-year period with four one-year option periods. Pratt and Whitney Rocketdyne will perform space shuttle main engine testing and testing of Constellation Program engines and propulsion systems. The contractor also will perform engine and propulsion systems testing as needed for other NASA programs, as well as provide hardware assurance and engineering support, including design work.
