NASA Marshall to Host Small Business Alliance Meeting Feb. 22 at U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville

	February 15, 2018  MEDIA ADVISORY M18-005 NASA Marshall to Host Small Business Alliance Meeting Feb. 22 at U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville Officials from NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center will share the latest contract opportunities with representatives of large and small businesses, NASA prime contractors and subcontractors at a Marshall Small Business Alliance Meeting Feb. 22 at the Davidson Center for Space Exploration, part of the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville. Between 500-600 industry representatives are expected to attend. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Scheduled speakers include Richard Mann, Small Business Program manager at NASA Headquarters in Washington; Steven Miley, director of Marshall's Office of Procurement; Madison Mayor Paul Finley; and Mark Russell, president of the Huntsville City Council. Roslin Hicks, acting deputy director at NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, will provide an update on new business opportunities at Michoud. Mariana Pardo, HUBZone Program director for the U.S. Small Business Administration in Washington, will share an overview of the program, which provides federal contracting assistance to small businesses operating in historically underserved business zones.
