NASA Marshall to Host Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Industry Day May 9

	May 05, 2017  MEDIA ADVISORY M17-032 NASA Marshall to Host Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Industry Day May 9 NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, will host the agency's Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Industry Day on Tuesday, May 9. The free event will be held from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. CDT at the Davidson Center for Space Exploration in Huntsville. Members of the local news media are invited to attend. The event, organized by Marshall's Small Business Office, will provide participants with detailed information on how to do business with government agencies, large businesses and NASA field centers and operations around the nation. Breakout sessions will detail upcoming business opportunities across the agency and introduce small business owners to key NASA personnel and representatives of NASA prime contractors. NASA is working to raise awareness of new business opportunities for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses in accord with Presidential Executive Order 13360, which seeks to provide new contracting and subcontracting opportunities for this historically underserved group.
