A Peek Inside SLS: Fuel Tank For World’s Largest Rocket Nears CompletionA structural test article of NASA's Space Launch System's was recently completed in the robotic weld tool at the Vertical Assembly Center at NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility. Before the final welds were made, we caught an unbelievable photo of the inside of the tank.
NASA, USAID Open Environmental Monitoring Hub in West AfricaNASA uses the vantage point of space to increase our understanding of our home planet, improve lives and safeguard our future. The agency and the U.S. Agency for International Development brought some of that understanding to West Africa this week, as they opened a new environmental monitoring program. The new hub will enhance the role of space-based observations in the management of climate-sensitive issues facing the world today.
NASA Celebrates Historic Pluto Flyby With Two 'Top Ten' ListsOne year ago, NASA’s New Horizons mission made history by exploring Pluto and its moons -- giving humankind our first real look at this fascinating world on the frontier of our solar system. In celebration of the flyby's anniversary, NASA scientists have compiled two lists: Top Ten Pluto Discoveries and Top Ten Pluto Photos.
