CONTRACT RELEASE C15-031
NASA Awards Contract for Engineering, Trades Support Services

NASA has selected Aerie Aerospace LLC of Huntsville, Alabama to provide engineering technicians and trades support services at the Marshall Space Flight Center, also in Huntsville, and Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans.

The contract begins on Oct. 1 with a one-year base period, followed by four one-year options. The performance-based, cost-plus-award-fee, mission services contract with an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) portion has a mission services value of $146 million and a maximum IDIQ order quantity value of $100 million, if all options are exercised to include a six-month continuity of services extension, if needed. This contract award resulted from a full and open competition under the 8(a) set-aside program.

The services provided by Aerie Aerospace will support Marshall’s Engineering Directorate and Office of Center Operations, and cover a wide range of trade skills to perform testing, ground and space-based research, test operations, data analysis, machine and electrical shop operations, and other technical activities. The company will provide the necessary management, personnel, equipment and supplies not otherwise provided by the government to fulfill the requirements of the contract.
