NASA's Marshall Center Kicks Off Annual Giving Campaign

Media are invited to attend the Tennessee Valley Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) kickoff ceremony on Monday, Sept. 22, at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

Tennessee Valley CFC is the annual workplace giving campaign for federal employees who live or work in the region. Last year, federal workers in the Tennessee Valley contributed more than $2 million to charitable organizations across the country and overseas.

Marshall Center Director Patrick Scheuermann and Army Lt. Gen. Patricia McQuistion will welcome guest speaker Karen Jacobs of The Care Center, a nonprofit organization committed to reducing poverty.

The kickoff will take place from 2-3 p.m. at Marshall Center Building 4316. The theme for 2014 is "Make It Possible."

The official campaign began Sept. 1 and will end Dec. 5.

Journalists who would like to attend should contact Marshall Media Relations' Molly Porter at molly.a.porter@xxxxxxxx or 256-544-0034 by noon Monday.
