libvpx support

Has anyone been able to build mplayer with vpx support? I have the
development packages installed, but mplayer won't auto configure it. I
can force it to be configured in, but then it fails with compile errors.
Looks to me like it might be expecting an older version of the library,
but unsure of that.

libvpx-0.9.0-6.fc13.x86_64
libvpx-devel-0.9.0-6.fc13.x86_64

and SVN as of today is what I am using.
