Hello, i am using mplayer with the cache option (-cache 9999 -cache-min 50) to play a file on a slow filesystem. Mplayer starts to play the file after the cache has been filled. When cache is empty, mplayer is jerking and does not wait until cache is filled again. This makes the video unwatchable. So my question is. How do i correctly tell mplayer to wait und fill up the cache again? Or how do i get the status of the cache to manually pause and resume the playback? I found no cache related slave commands.
