I have found references to -idle in man mplayer
"Mostly useful in slave mode where MPlayer can be con-
trolled through input commands."
But there is no mention of -idle in slave.txt

I've tried to use -idle but I either get this error:
mplayer: could not connect to socket
mplayer: No such file or directory
OR mplayer doesn't appear to go into 'idle'.
After much searching I cannot locate a single example of how to
actually use the -idle switch. Can anyone point me to even one?
