Or easier to test: -contrast -50 -brightness -25 -saturation -50 -vo gl:yuv=2 should be mostly the same as -contrast -50 -vo gl I don't like the behaviour of the later since it makes it impossible to get the effect your screenshot shows, but I don't mind adapting behviour (possibly even configurable) if I get a better idea of what people like and expect.
