But I remember ending up making an entry in my ~/.mplayer/mencoder.conf file, so I'll post it here. The PROBLEM is, I don't remember which of the profile entries worked and which didn't... And I can't test them now, I have to be back on other matters of my life ASAP... And now I wouldn't even remember without consulting mplayer docs how to use the profiles on the command line :-) So this is all I can do. Good luck!
