That's the problem, because there's no sense in using dvdnav://8, because we only use dvdnav to access the menu and extras. If we have to discover and specify the title, like dvd://8, then we could use only dvd://8 do you agree? I mean: dvdnav://8 is exactly the same as dvd://. The only advantage of dvdnav:// is the "nav" part ;) I think dvdnav:// only makes sense when we can use just dvdnav://.
