How is a stand-alone > DVD player able to play such disks? Just a follow up: The CRC errors seem to happen on chapter breaks, and as it appears, the chapters are stored in a non-linear way on the disk itself. So when the player comes along a chapter break it has to jump to a different position, with cache this leads to having to throw away the entire cache and not playing from the start of the new chapter, but from somewhere else further into the chapter. Without cache it simply starts anew in the next chapter, but still printing out the CRC error line and making the clicking noise. - -- Cheers, Alex -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iEYEARECAAYFAkr14AgACgkQ1J0MF2u394wWTACgr+UlyLEZdt+R8nsB/T0usI9j LC0Ani76ASPJaZxiBF56rNeikxRK4nbz =lKBC -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
