Hey all, I'm working on an interactive video, but the playback of my HDV video is not working very well in Pure-Data/GEM, so I'm looking at using mplayer in slave mode. I have converted my raw HDV footage into a MPG with no interframe compression. This is to do frame by frame seeking. I just need a few operations to make the project work: 1. play ping-pong (loop between two edit points playing forward and then backward) 2. Change edit points 3. play backwards. Seems all this can be done if I could play backwards, which does not seem possible in mplayer. Since my file has no interframe compression playing backwards is just the same as playing forwards, but indeed this file is a special case. Is anyone working on backwards playback, perhaps a new feature in svn? Thanks, B.
