AC3 Audio Realtime Decode

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]<

Hello!

I bought a Linux based Satellite TV STB and i found some channels
with AC3 audio with their Mpeg2 streams. The chipset doesn't decode
AC3 audio, and just send it out to SPDIF output port. In this case, i
can only see video if i dont have an attached digital audio device
connected to SPDIF.

My question is if there is any way to read spdif port in realtime,
decode the AC3 audio and send it to the analog output?

What command should i use to do so with mencode?
Is it a too heavy process?

Thank you very much!
