Could you look into your BIOS if there are any settings on how video memory is used? I have a weak memory something was mentioned on nvnews.net. (And to make sure: Could you upload a sample to ftp://ffmpeg.org/MPlayer/incoming (write only) and report the filename here - please don't make it foo.mp2, but something with mpeg2, 720p, 60Hz and ts?)
