Kernel mode graphics subsystem and inteldrmfb

Hi,

I'm currently testing kernel >2.6.29 with the Intel
framebuffer (no X11) from the newly introduced
kernel mode switching graphics subsystem
(/proc/fb lists it as inteldrmfb).

Unfortunately neither fbdev nor SDL or DirectFB
can handle this together with Mplayer.

Either AGP is already occupied by the framebuffer
device (DirectFB) or it completely crashes (SDL)
or just can't write screeninfo (fbdev).

According to kernel mailing lists, this should be
introduced as the new standard in future.

Will there be any support by mplayer vo drivers
or is an easy workaround possible?

Thanks and best regards,
Markus
