support for Nortel callpilot .VBK files

We have a Nortel PBX phone system with voicemail over IMAP.
The raw voicemail files are in a strange format.

Nortel provide a free player for Windows only. It won't work in wine on my desktop. The software includes a DLL "nmplayer.dll".

Is there a way to process this into an Mplayer binary codec ?

If so, how to tell mplayer to use it ?

$ mplayer -msglevel all=6 -vo null v770102.vbk
Playing /home/andrew/voicemail/v770102.vbk.
get_path('sub/') -> '/home/andrew/.mplayer/sub/'
[file] File size is 82036 bytes
STREAM: [file] /home/andrew/voicemail/v770102.vbk
STREAM: Description: File
STREAM: Author: Albeu
STREAM: Comment: based on the code from ??? (probably Arpi)
LAVF_check: no clue about this gibberish!
