Hi! I grabbed a number of files from a digital camera using `dvgrab'. `file' identifies all of them as "DIF (DV) movie file (PAL)": $ file dvgrab-0* dvgrab-001.dv: DIF (DV) movie file (PAL) dvgrab-002.dv: DIF (DV) movie file (PAL) dvgrab-003.dv: DIF (DV) movie file (PAL) dvgrab-004.dv: DIF (DV) movie file (PAL) dvgrab-005.dv: DIF (DV) movie file (PAL) dvgrab-006.dv: DIF (DV) movie file (PAL) dvgrab-007.dv: DIF (DV) movie file (PAL) dvgrab-008.dv: DIF (DV) movie file (PAL) dvgrab-009.dv: DIF (DV) movie file (PAL) dvgrab-010.dv: DIF (DV) movie file (PAL) dvgrab-011.dv: DIF (DV) movie file (PAL) dvgrab-012.dv: DIF (DV) movie file (PAL) dvgrab-013.dv: DIF (DV) movie file (PAL) dvgrab-014.dv: DIF (DV) movie file (PAL) dvgrab-015.dv: DIF (DV) movie file (PAL) dvgrab-016.dv: DIF (DV) movie file (PAL) ...but mplayer refuses to play dvgrab-005.dv: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- $ mplayer dvgrab-005.dv MPlayer dev-SVN-r28974Can't open joystick device /dev/input/js0: No such file or directory Can't init input joystick mplayer: could not connect to socket mplayer: No such file or directory Failed to open LIRC support. (For now, it would be nice to have some kind of "force" option to allot mencoding that file to produce a Video-DVD from it... I already tried to play with the "-vc" option, supplying diverse codecs, but mplayer always recognized it as MPEG-PES.)
