If you find a way, please let me know!

I'm not sure how much information you have on the background to this 
situation, but as far as I know mplayer is not necessarily intended to be 
able to play these files. They're encrypted in a way that hasn't yet been 
universally defeated, and that encryption can be associated with things like 
the way your monitor and graphics card talk to each other. This makes it 
difficult to play back blu-ray or HD-DVD movies on hardware of your choice.

The only way to reliably play them back at the moment is probably using the 
officially sanctioned player software on hardware that player program is 
happy with. There are various hacks and workarounds involving decryption 
keys being distributed on the internet, but these titles are being opened up 
on a case by case basis and there's no guarantee that you could go out, buy 
a blu-ray disc, and have it play. In certain parts of the world, getting 
involved in this sort of thing may make you a target for litigation.

Here's hoping for a universal solution at some point.
