Because drvc.dll is neither in all-20071007.tar.bz2 I erroneously
thought to be best suitable for Linux nor in windows-all-20071007.zip.

Yes, it works, and this codec is what MPlayer picks out with a
pre-r28186 codecs.conf. An attempt with -vc rv40 results in the crash.

Thank you, the codecs.conf from r28639 results in MPlayer falling back
to the built-in ffmpeg unless drv{2,3,4}260.dll files from
windows-all-20071007.zip are available (nor they are ;-)). Both decoders
work flawlessly, at least for this video.
