I finally resolved this issue. There is a patch that fixes *exactly* this issue: http://www.mail-archive.com/dvdnav-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxx/msg00674.html Sadly this patch is pending since November 2008. So I hacked it into the my source tree and viola...everything works just fine and I can finally play again all my DVDs! It would be *highly* appreciated if this patch is finally reviewed and officially applied. I think Nico Sabbi is the maintainer...
