h.264 "slow motion" problem

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]<

Hi all,

In Ireland our digital TV seems to be DVB-T H264 but mplayer "thinks" its
MPEG2 (like standard DVB-T).

I've gotten around this by altering mplayer source to play MPEG2 as H264
by default (one change to libmpdemux/demux_ts.c).

Almost great! But I have a "slow motion" problem: -

Audio sounds fine but video seems to be running at 1/2 speed.

top shows that mplayer is using 25% CPU (P4 2.8Ghz).

Does anyone have any idea why its playing in this "slow motion" type way
or what settings (if any) I could try to see if I can get the video
running at real time speed?

The same computer will play normal AVIs and MPEG2 (DVB-S) video streams
perfectly.

thanks very much,

Derek
