But be sure to check if they offer a reasonably recent version. Most  
package maintainers still stick to the rc2-version which is over a year  
old and terribly out-of-date. Just regard the latest svn version as  
stable, most times it is.

If you don't want to fiddle with svn, you can simply download the  
Subversion snapshot from http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html
