MPlayer limitation: 'seek' in large wav files?

Thanks for your reply Andrew. But is --enable-largefiles a default, or
rather auto-detected' option with the svn MPlayer? I am not sure how
to demonstrate that my copy of MPlayer has been compiled for large
files but I know I can _play_ these big wav files from beginnng to end
but I cannot _seek_ within them after a certain point.
