Hello, There are avi files which are not played correctly by mplayer on my machine: when I start playing them, mplayer plays the audio correctly but it shows in ca. 1 second all the frames after rush each other (at least it seems to do it) and it ends the playback. It gives no error message. It happens only for some video files and I found that mplayer plays all these files with ffodivx: Selected video codec: [ffodivx] vfm: ffmpeg (FFmpeg MPEG-4) What is the solution? I found nothing with Google. I use mplayer 1.0pre8, debian stable, ATI Radeon 9550, and fglrx driver. The same happens with mplayer rc1 and rc2, the same on Suse 10.0, and I tried also another xorg driver. An example for the video file: ftp://letoltes.sg.hu/film2/Harry_potter_trl_F1_hi.avi I copied the output of mplayer below. Thanks in advance if you reply Szilard $ mplayer Harry_potter_trl_F1_hi.avi MPlayer 1.0pre8-3.3.5 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team CPU: AMD Sempron(TM) 2400+ (Family: 6, Model: 8, Stepping: 1) CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 1 3DNow2: 1 SSE: 1 SSE2: 0 Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 3DNow 3DNowEx SSE Failed to open /dev/rtc: No such file or directory (it should be readable by the user.)
