Yep did that and all is ok :)

Well you could always run unstable or experimental if you want cutting
edge :)

Because Debian is wonderful and works very well if you follow the Debian
way ;)
There is always a solution and any other distro is plagued by similar or
different issues, which at the end of the day is lost time so what's the
diff?
