Subject: + ocfs2-fix-null-pointer-dereference-in-ocfs2_duplicate_clusters_by_page.patch added to -mm tree To: tiger.yang@xxxxxxxxxx,jeff.liu@xxxxxxxxxx,jlbec@xxxxxxxxxxxx,mfasheh@xxxxxxxx,tm@xxxxxx,wb@xxxxxxxxxxxx From: akpm@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Thu, 08 Aug 2013 15:29:58 -0700 The patch titled Subject: ocfs2: fix NULL pointer dereference in ocfs2_duplicate_clusters_by_page has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is ocfs2-fix-null-pointer-dereference-in-ocfs2_duplicate_clusters_by_page.patch This patch should soon appear at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/ocfs2-fix-null-pointer-dereference-in-ocfs2_duplicate_clusters_by_page.patch and later at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/ocfs2-fix-null-pointer-dereference-in-ocfs2_duplicate_clusters_by_page.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/SubmitChecklist when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Tiger Yang <tiger.yang@xxxxxxxxxx> Subject: ocfs2: fix NULL pointer dereference in ocfs2_duplicate_clusters_by_page Since ocfs2_cow_file_pos will invoke ocfs2_refcount_icow with a NULL as the struct file pointer, it finally result in a null pointer dereference in ocfs2_duplicate_clusters_by_page. This patch replace file pointer with inode pointer in cow_duplicate_clusters to fix this issue.
