The patch titled Subject: compiler{,-gcc4}.h: remove duplicate macros has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is compiler-gcc4h-remove-duplicate-macros.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/SubmitChecklist when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Daniel Santos <daniel.santos@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: compiler{,-gcc4}.h: remove duplicate macros __linktime_error() does the same thing as __compiletime_error() and is only used in bug.h. Since the macro defines a function attribute that will cause a failure at compile-time (not link-time), it makes more sense to keep __compiletime_error(), which is also neatly mated with __compiletime_warning().
