The patch titled Subject: xtensa/mm/fault.c: port OOM changes to do_page_fault has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is xtensa-mm-faultc-port-oom-changes-to-do_page_fault.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/SubmitChecklist when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Kautuk Consul <consul.kautuk@xxxxxxxxx> Subject: xtensa/mm/fault.c: port OOM changes to do_page_fault d065bd810b6de ("mm: retry page fault when blocking on disk transfer") and 37b23e0525d393d ("x86,mm: make pagefault killable") The above commits introduced changes into the x86 pagefault handler for making the page fault handler retryable as well as killable. These changes reduce the mmap_sem hold time, which is crucial during OOM killer invocation. Port these changes to xtensa.
