The patch titled fcntl: make exported headers use strict posix types has been added to the -mm tree. Its filename is fcntl-make-exported-headers-use-strict-posix-types.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/SubmitChecklist when testing your code *** See http://userweb.kernel.org/~akpm/stuff/added-to-mm.txt to find out what to do about this The current -mm tree may be found at http://userweb.kernel.org/~akpm/mmotm/ ------------------------------------------------------ Subject: fcntl: make exported headers use strict posix types From: Lucian Adrian Grijincu <lucian.grijincu@xxxxxxxxx> All 'pid_t' were changed to '__kernel_pid_t' in a previous commit: make exported headers use strict posix types A number of standard posix types are used in exported headers, which is not allowed if __STRICT_KERNEL_NAMES is defined. In order to get rid of the non-__STRICT_KERNEL_NAMES part and to make sane headers the default, we have to change them all to safe types. but a later change introduced 'pid_t' again: fcntl: add F_[SG]ETOWN_EX This makes asm-generic/fcntl.h d use strict posix types again.
